Verseward

About Verseward

For the moments when you believe Scripture has something for this — but you don't know where to look.

Why I built Verseward

Andrew, the founder of Verseward

Growing up, my mom took her faith seriously. I went along with it — church, the prayers — without really meaning most of it.

About a year ago, my work fell apart, then the money went with it.

I remember one night, alone in my apartment, having just taken out a loan to cover that month's rent. I cried for a long time. I remember just sitting there, overwhelmed.

I picked up a Bible I hadn't opened in years.

Nothing changed overnight. But something in me started to settle.

The hard part was that I didn't know where to look. I was still new to taking faith seriously, and I didn't know my way around the Bible. When I needed a verse, I usually had no idea where to find one.

“The LORD is near to the brokenhearted; He saves the contrite in spirit.”
— Psalm 34:18

That's the kind of thing I needed someone to hand me that night.

I built Verseward because I needed it.
Then I found out I wasn't the only one.

What Verseward is here to do

Verseward helps you bring a real-life situation to Scripture.

Share what you're carrying, and Verseward helps you find relevant Scripture, understand it in context, and take one faithful next step.

Every verse you see is pulled directly from real Bible text. Verseward doesn't invent Scripture, and it never pretends to speak as God.

A place in between

Verseward isn't a replacement for your Bible, your church, your pastor, or professional care.

Those relationships matter.

Verseward is simply here for the moments in between — when something is weighing on you, you need somewhere to begin, and you don't know where in Scripture to look.

Built with privacy in mind

Some of the things people bring here are deeply personal.

That's why your reflections are never used to train AI models, and Verseward isn't built as a place for our team to browse through what you share.

You can read more about how your information is handled in our Privacy Policy.

You don't need to know the right verse.
You don't even need the right words.

Just bring what's on your heart.
